Every representative in the Hungarian National Assembly has to file an annual declaration of their wealth, property, income, and financial interests. Those filings are already public, but only as scattered, hand-filled PDF scans that you can't search or compare. Declarity gathers them, pulls out the data, and puts it in one place.

Right now the database holds 1,194 declarations from 368 representatives covering 2023 to 2026. You can browse representatives alphabetically, open any single declaration, and see how someone's declared assets change from one year to the next.

Why it exists

A declaration nobody can read doesn't hold anyone to account. The official source posts them as scanned PDFs, with no way to search them or to compare figures across years and representatives. Declarity fills that gap without changing any of the facts. Everything you see is what the representatives declared themselves.

How the data is produced

Each declaration is read from the original source, then cleaned up and checked. When a correction is filed after an original, both versions are kept and linked. Compiling and structuring all of it is the project's own work; the underlying facts stay public record.

Each year's filings are available as a searchable, sortable list — including the separate election-year waves, when representatives file both at the end of their mandate and at the start of the new one. Every representative also has a profile page collecting all of their filings with year-over-year charts.

Who runs it
